Campus Master Plan
The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees, The Tennessee Higher Education Commission, and the State Building Commission have approved the 2012 campus master plan for The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
The 18-month planning process involved many thoughtful constituents: UTC students, faculty, staff, and administration as well as our community partners and neighbors—all skillfully guided by Perkins+Will consultants. Working together, we envisioned a vibrant campus showcasing its excellence and its environmental responsibility as we grow in carefully phased stages to 13,000, then 15,000 and then 18,000 students. To accomplish this goal, UTC will use the campus master plan to guide these critical aspects of campus growth:
- academic/student services space needs
- housing growth
- recreation/athletic
- development opportunities
- land and building use
- open space
- circulation and parking
- bicycle and transit
- phasing and implementation
